A guided process of self-review and reflection
About the Practice
Rather than offering advice or telling you what to do, I create a calm, structured space where thoughtful questions help you understand your life more clearly.
My Life Boat® Life Review is a guided process of self-review and reflection built around ten interconnected areas of life.
01
A Pause
Life Review is an intentional pause in the journey.
Like bringing a boat safely to anchor for a routine check, it provides time to step back from the demands of everyday life and look at your life as a whole. The purpose is not to repair the boat, but to better understand the vessel carrying you through life.
02
A Structured Space
Life Review provides a structured space for thoughtful review and reflection.
Using the My Life Boat® Framework, the session explores ten selected life domains that together provide a holistic picture of your life. Rather than focusing on a single issue, the conversation considers how these areas interact and contribute to your journey and your story.
03
A Non-clinical Facilitated Process
Life Review provides a structured space for thoughtful review and reflection.
It is neither therapy, coaching, mentoring nor counselling. The facilitator guides the conversation through thoughtful questions while respecting your autonomy throughout the session. You remain the primary authority on your own life, your experiences and your reflections.
04
Greater Understanding
Greater understanding is the expressed outcome of a Life Review session.
It is neither therapy, coaching, mentoring nor counselling. The facilitator guides the conversation through thoughtful questions while respecting your autonomy throughout the session. You remain the primary authority on your own life, your experiences and your reflections.
Why “My Life Boat®”?
The metaphor
Every person has one life.
That life carries us through changing waters.
Like every boat, it deserves attention, understanding and care.
A Life Review is like bringing your boat to anchor for a check — not for repair because something is wrong, but because understanding your boat helps prepare you for whatever lies ahead.
Life is lived as a journey and understood as a story.
